Meet the founder
At 50, I faced a quiet but undeniable truth: my lifestyle needed to change. I wanted to feel healthier again and regain a sense of control, so I committed to a keto, low-carb diet.
There was just one problem — I love beer. Always have. At a daily carb limit of 22 grams, a single beer took up half my allowance. Two beers and the day was almost gone. Every time I reached for one, it felt like I had to choose between beer or progress.
Then, on a trip home to Iceland, something shifted. Across Scandinavia, low-carb lager had quietly become part of the culture — crisp, refreshing beer brewed for people who wanted balance rather than compromise. For the first time, I didn’t have to choose. I could stay committed to my health and still enjoy the rituals that felt like me.
Back in the United Kingdom, I searched for the same thing, but it simply wasn’t there. The market had a blind spot, so I decided to fill it myself.
Björt is the Guiltless Lager. Launched in March with just 0.3g of carbs per 330ml bottle, it’s among the lowest-carb beers in the world — naturally gluten-free, lower in calories, and brewed for modern drinkers who want more from their beer.
Björt isn’t for people giving up beer. It’s for people who refuse to give up anything — not their health, not their social life, not the simple pleasure of a cold lager. Because the best ideas rarely come from trends, they come from solving a problem of your own.
